Goodbye

I'm gonna stop this blog for the moment being, and I might be back with a new blog when I feel like it..it would be a really private and personal one, to which only my closer gfs and darlings will noe. So, till then, take care everyone!! I hope everything goes well for all of you.

Short holiday due

As my last paper is approaching, I am also making plans for a short getaway. Once in a while, there is a need to get out of SG to go somewhere more placid and serene so that I can literally stone or lie in a sunny beach whilst watching hot hunks. Weeeeeee. I really miss my Krabi trip...

I just caught Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on dvd (very long overdue I know) and I liked the way the movie was put across to audiences. As much as I've had an unpleasant or bad relationships, I think I would prefer leaving the memories in the brain to disintegrate with time, rather than simply erasing them off, what's more there are gd memories to begin with.

From now on, I would work hard to make myself happy, and to lead a more fulfilling life, instead of being a friggin loser. I really want this to work for me.

How is it that we have led society to coerce us into conforming?

Or are we too comfortable and nonchalent to make any change anymore...

Oh man, I look like crap! But wat the heck...

Its one of the countable chances to be in the sch's com lab to do assignments tgt. Though we often dread & complain about the endless late-night-boring-to-hell lectures, tutorials, projects & presentations, boy, have we gone through all of it and arrive at where we are now. Soon, we'll be all over Shenton Way, fending for ourselves, joining the what-you-call, corporate world. But before that, i would like to give kudos to the amazing person who has made the unbearable bearable. =)

We bickered, bitched, pon-ten-ed classes, mugged, feasted, aerobic-ed, kickbox-ed, swam, gym-ed, OGL-ed, cried, whined, photowhored, bus-ed, shopped, loved & lost together and finally we gained each other! I never thought i would meet a dear friend like her, and even a 'friend' dun seem to give justice to us. So darling, this section of the post, would be dedicated to you. Cheeers, babe!

My thoughts

Well it seems like time has passed by so fast, from the day we attended AR1221, how our archi tutor snubbed us cos he thinks we were lousy, how we had fun with Vel, Grace and Cass, not forgetting TR2001 where we had loads of fun with weehar, Kelvin, azhar, Dan and Elmie, not to mention that this is one of the few rare modules I scored an A-. Haha.

Subsequently when we went for rag and flag, and got to know a whole lot more of people, yet we still always remained in our sweet lil own world, with Grace at times. Really, 4 is just too much. I'll definitely miss the days. Now, I really hope it doesn't come soon. Sighs, the harsh realities of life.

But I know, these memories are here for me to keep. =)

Well, definitely an ego booster, just for the fun of it.

Had a nightmare which left me trembling through the night, along the lines of someone chasing me, I dunno man, maybe too much of Mas Selamat pictures have been causing me distress. Haha.

I've just finished the book Into The Wild, addictive. I couldn't put the book down ever since I started on it. What would make a scholar put down everything he had, to lead a life of a vagabond? (apparently I heard from Grace that many people in the states do that) So many thoughts running through my mind as I was reading it, and I was disturbed by the images of his death, well, no photos, but a self inflicted process.

Suddenly this sounds like I'm somewhat similar to the main character of Into The Wild? Haha, yes I definitely love the outdoors, and being around people.. which is why Alaska seems to be immensely appealing to me..

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

I love this French show which depicts the emotions of an ex French Elle editor who could only communicate with the world by blinking his left eye in a communication system where they created for him. Check this out. It invoked many emotions in me, especially one scene where I felt some anger rushing up my head because he did not return the love of his ever-loving wife who was always with him.

The show was shot beautifully, but certain scenes were a little abrupt. But the cinematography was great, great french show. It can be a little heavy though, but it inspired me to get the book. All in all, I would give it a 4.8 out of 5.

Some peeps have complained that my blog is rarely updated, and most of the times it's full of rants. It's definitely not one of the most memorable blogs you'll come across, but it shows you some of my innermost and heartfelt moments, those that I feel lonely, miserable and I wanna pen it down, just to make myself feel better. I would probably set up a happier blog in days to come, a travel blog in particular, when I do get a chance to travel around the world, so I can put all my photos up.

The burdens of emotions

It just comes one full circle, I am just so dam tired of everything.

I wanna bury my head into the sand and not face anyone in the world, yeah, ostrichified, whatever you call it. Blogging is becoming pointless. Then you question, so why blog? Which is why I rarely blog now, because life is just nothing much fun to blog about.

So yeah, just as I thought things were getting better, den BAM, it happens again, in fact, even worst than before. Well, apparently the cancer cells have spread into the liver. Not me, my dad. Well, so it has reached a point where I feel fucking vulnerable. And I hate to feel that dam sense of haplessness or helplessness, whatever.

Oh and guess what, I hate statistics. So here it goes all over again, 5% chance of 5 yr survival rate with chemo, 30% with op, 45% with both. Yawns.

I am done ranting, well I guess probably I should recreate a new blog just to blog about happy thoughts, say travelling purposes. Maybe.

Why the need for more air-conditioned interchanges?

I guess many people would embrace the need for more air-conditioned interchanges, but I for one, do not advocate this stance. It would be great because the Singapore weather is getting more quirky as the years pass (maybe due to global warming), but this air conditioning certainly does not help in the global warming issue.

Maybe before this, we could make an improvement to our buses. i.e. Have you noticed how cold blooded/sensitive our buses are? When we are freezing, the bus freezes together with us. When we are uber hot, the air con does not seem to exist. After so many people have written in to complain about this, L-T-A still has not done anything about this. We would really appreciate if they could put a thermostat in the bus. This is one of the few grumbles I have about the transportation system, other than that, it's pretty world class isn't it?

I'm just ranting away. But hands up if you agree with me regarding our sensitive transportation infrastructure. I plan to write more, but right now I'm having my usual dose of sinus, hence I am a little incoherent, and so I'm blabbering nonsense and yeah, just a summary of what I feel about this.

School blues

Damn, it's my last semester, I should be looking forward to it..instead I am dreading to go to sch..

Just watched Before Sunset, I really quite like the show, it's a rather conversational show with interesting lines, with a vague ending I didn't quite like though. The plot, you could totally relate to it and well, makes one even more jaded, or not.
