What goes around comes around

You know what they say about karma, it comes when you least expect it.

Why do some people get away with all the wrongdoings that they commit, whilst others, in a bid to do the right things often get hurt by these wrong doers.

More often that not, the karma that we're talking about falls on somebody that you love, and you're helpless, because you can't do anything about it. You can only watch them fall, and try to pick them up, and tell them that everything's gonna be alright.

And about chronic liars - Maybe it's the upbringing, maybe it's innate, maybe they just need to grow out of it.

Just maybe.

Happy Birthday Singapore!

1. Lady: Do you know where Crabtree and Evelyn is?
Me: Crabstick and Evelyn is at B1 (realises my mistake and hope that she didn't hear it)
Lady: *bursts out laughing* Are you very hungry?

2. We were standing at the bridge trying to catch fireworks on National Day where patriotism rules the day, when suddenly the old-uncle-who-hates-Singapore-on-a-bike-drove-by-like-Japanese soldiers-during-WWII screams: Waste money on stupid fireworks!! Stupid bloody Singaporeans!

Everyone was stunned for a split second, because he just had to destroy the beautiful moment, but composure soon regained itself and we chuckled at his joke-of-the-year. Well done Uncle!

Btw, we love the fireworks. It was beautiful :)

SO WHAT if the government is wasting money on this? It's National Day, so feel patriotic. And gave me 10 mins of happiness. Who says happiness can't be brought by money?

The irony of life

Why does life work in such a way that the worst people get all the best while people who try so hard to be nice gets pushed around?

Why do people get married only to get divorced? Why get married in the first place?

Maybe marriage is no longer as sacred as it used to be. Or maybe it's because people's mentality have changed with times. If it doesn't work out, then maybe it's time to let go.

Accept that there is life beyond your personal realm of control. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it's just futile.

Ok, my blog is just getting boring because I have nothing much to blog about since I've either been working feverishly(pun intended) or simply being a couch potato catching up on Grey's anatomy.
