10. Best holiday

This year I travelled to New york, Shanghai and Thailand.. Tough fight but I think I would still give it to New York for the diverse culture and cosmopolitan city, not forgetting my first skiing experience and long road trip. I wished I had explored more of that, but I'll definitely go back again one day. Of course, my best beach holiday would be Krabi- no fight.

11. Most well dressed person of the year

This has to be me. No vetos allowed.

In 2007, we grew up

Well, kinda actually. As 2007 closes with a bang, I just wanna pen down my thoughts for this tumultuous year. It was a tempestuous year for me, full of ups and downs, and more tears shed than anything else.

I faced my most traumatising breakup of all time, as most of my close friends already know, so there's really nothing new to talk about. But I think I'll do a recap of the year, perhaps put in some of my feelings and thoughts.

2007 began with me being in New York with someone whom I thought I could look forward to a future together. But well, it didn't even last a year more that that. However, I learnt a great deal from him, how never to trust a guy fully or how superficial some guys can be. At the end of it all, I put the blame onto myself for being so trusting and gullible and for shrugging off certain issues which have been crucial to my well-being in the relationship. Obviously I wasn't THE ONE because I'm not voluptuous enough, no double D cups to go along with my long luscious leg blah blah. Point is not the above sentence that I've just said. But it all boils down to communication, esp in a long distance relationship which could falter any moment.

I've been a bad communicator in this relationship, partially because whatever I say sometimes just seems stupid to a guy who doesn't understand my needs and concerns and the other being myself for not wanting to spoil a long distance relationship by being over-fussy. So, new year resolution number 1: To be a better communicator in future relationships.

I let myself feel inferior to him because of my inability to dress well and my lackluster figure. So, resolution no. 2: Never ever let anyone get you down or believe in the words of others who have their own intentions. (Ironically, this came from him)

Sometimes I feel used, others I feel angry, upset, betrayed and disappointed. But I know I have to get over this myself, because no one can help me except for myself. My friends have already pulled me up, now it's time for me to stand up by myself and walk.

I wanna thank him for making me more dressy, and a much stronger person. So that was for the first half of the year..

The later part of the year, my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 2 and had post op complications, so life hadn't really been easy, but he's recovering so we're all very hopeful for the new year to be even better. I'm really grateful to my friends who's always there to hear me whine, to pull me up when I was down. I know it hadn't exactly been an easier year for you all too, so hang on..cos I'll be there if you need me!

Here's my New year resolution for 2008!

1. Get my driving license

2. To be happy no matter what happens

3. Travel and travel and travel - hoping to go to Europe and to Krabi again!

Again, I would like to thank all my friends for standing by me whenever I was down, for filling my heart with warm and comforting words, for letting me know that there's always someone who will be there for you no matter what happens.

I'm glad 2007 ended off with a high note, last words: cherish whoever is by your side, because you will never know when they'll be gone.

Rock climbing Endeavour

Really, this is the part I love most of my whole trip to Thailand. The beach is simply amazing and awesome, clear water, pure shores.

At Burger King, while waiting for breakfast!

On our way to take the boat to Railey Beach

Before we proceeded to Railey Beach

How are my photography skills??? Still need lotsa room for improvement isn't it?!

Blue sky, white fluffy clouds...

This is officially my favourite picture among the whole lot.

Yet another 1, we were on our way to Railey Beach, on the longtail boat.

On the longtail to Railey.

Samm climbing the stalactite! Not bad ha!!

My turn my turn..Samm says I look so elegant climbing.. But god knows how much strength I used for the climb because my technique was inaccurate. Note: you should use your legs more than your arm power. If you think artificial rock climbing was tough, think again.

Our instructor, John, I cannot remember his name, but he speaks really decent English with an accent!

See, he can even climb with bags. It's not easy I swear!

We trekked through caves and finally reached the peak where we were supposed to rappel down.

This crumpler bag nearly killed me and my bestie. Haha. Uber heavy when we were trying to lug it all around. Never ever do that pls, get a backpack for heaven's sake!

So scary can!!

This trip is horrendously tiring!

Oh yeah, I had to climb barefooted half way through the rocks because my slippers had to break. Of all times, it had to break. PAINFUL! Crappy slippers.

This is the magnificent view on top of the rock, overseeing the whole beach..my picture doesn't do justice to the view. I need to brush up on my photography skills.. haha

Nicole, the other person that was with us during our rock climbing adventure. She comes from Texas, but resides in Sweden, and she's a pastry chef! How cool is that!

Rappelling down!

More climbing after rappelling

My legs were so badly bruised after the rock climbing.

Ok, we're going back to Ao Nang beach to meet up with the guys!

Thats me, as if you don't know already.

It started to rain while we were in the longtail back, and these 2 guys gave us the better seats to prevent the waves from crashing onto us. Thank you so much! It was a funny sight though!!! The boat ride was rocky and tumultuous and it felt like wide water rafting according to Samm!

See how stupid I look with 1 sock and 1 side of the slipper. Kind hearted longtail operator gave me one pair of socks because I was having soooo much trouble walking on the corals (had to be low tide that time on my way back). It was an arduous journey back. Not to forget it was drizzling, I couldn't walk properly because the corals were hurting my feet, and was still drinking orange juice and had bananas to carry. Seriously, it was a pathetic sight. I could have just died if Samm didn't help me take the bananas and the crumpler. Haha.

Meanwhile..the guys were kayaking and relaxing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eating pineapples as well!

Following this, we took a 12hr coach to Bangkok... stay tuned! (Bangkok is a shopping haven! But that's just about it, oh stay tuned for ladyboys pic galore!)

Married man: ‘I slept with 13 women this week’

Q. I can’t get enough of women. I have to look at every woman who walks by. I watch porn, I flirt, I keep in touch with past girlfriends, I make new ones, I browse for women online. I get up to 30 e-mails a day from women. Once I have seduced them online, they are dying to meet me and usually sleep with me on the first date. Then I find the simplest flaw and use that against them to break it off. They are devastated. They feel I have used them sexually, and they are right.

The kicker is that I am married. My wife is great, beautiful, intelligent and we have a good sex life. I am 41. We have been together for 25 years. I, however, still have a constant rotation of new women. I just can’t stop seducing other women and having sex with them. Nor do I want to, because I am having the time of my life.

This is affecting my job, but only because it is so time-consuming. Typically, it takes three hours a day to write to women. Then I make phone calls to those higher on the rotation. Then I e-mail again for another three hours after my wife goes to bed. Then I do a few hours of research for new women.

I have slept with an untold number of women. I would not call it an addiction because I like it so much and it makes me happy to meet them, seduce them, sleep with them and, yes, even break up with them. This week I will hit my all-time record of sleeping with 13 different women. They are all beautiful, intelligent and successful, and they all think we will live happily ever after. They have no idea that I am sleeping with so many other women, let alone married. I know hurting them emotionally is bad. I just can’t stop. To me it is all fair game as long as it is consensual.

For me, it is not simply the sex, it is the seduction, and the mental games and pleasure I receive from this. To seduce a women to the point where she really wants to have sex with me is very stimulating to me. It is like I have scored a touchdown in the last few seconds of the Superbowl. I have gotten so good at the aftergame as well that I make only one call or e-mail. You are not what I was looking for, please don’t write me anymore. I never hear from them again. I find myself so manipulative it scares me sometimes.

Part of the game, too, is being so manipulative with my wife that it feels like directing an orchestra. Move her here, date the wife, sleep with the girlfriend, get a new girlfriend, slot her in for Tuesday.

Can you please give me some insight into what is going on?

A. I think you are a sex addict and a sociopath.

What you describe is sexual addiction. Like any addict, you have a feedback loop that provides you with positive reinforcement every time you make a conquest — hence your comparison to a winning touchdown in the big game. This gives you a dopamine high (dopamine being the neurotransmitter involved in pleasure and reward). It is also involved in sexual activity and addictive behaviors like compulsive gambling.

What is so very disturbing is your complete lack of guilt, remorse or empathy for the other parties involved. You know intellectually that this is bad behavior, because you are aware you are betraying your spouse and hurting all the other woman you deal with. Yet it seems that you understand this only on a purely observational level.

It sounds as though you have no capacity for emotion. You lack any ability to hold yourself morally accountable for your dishonest and harmful actions. You are easily able to rationalize hurting and mistreating others, whether they are strangers or relatives. In fact, you take pleasure in it.

Hence, I also think you are a sociopath, with an utter lack of concern and regard for others. I suspect there are additional areas of your life where you repeatedly break the rules or injure others with no concern for the consequences. You might well destroy your marriage and your job. You are leaving a wake of destruction.

For your own sake and for the sake of everyone else unfortunate enough to have their lives intersect with yours, you need help. If you don’t stop this behavior, you will likely contract a disease, get yourself arrested or enrage someone so much that you are harmed. If you want to try living a normal life — something beyond a life governed by sexual addiction — you need treatment, either individual treatment or group treatment.

To my readers: People like this are often charming and charismatic. As you can see, this man has no trouble duping people and racking up innumerable conquests. If you encounter somebody like this, I suggest you get away as quickly as possible.

Dr. Gail’s Bottom Line: A sociopathic sex addict behaves in ways that violate social norms.

Players, I think are sociopaths in their love life, if they even love the one that they're closest to in the first place. This guy out here is grotesque. Really, ought to be shot for his wrongdoings.

2nd day

Early morning we woke up and made our way to Krabi, alas when we got there, we realised that we could actually get to Krabi straight instead of going to Phi Phi Island, but too late, our boat had already departed!

So guys, there's only 1 boat daily at 8.30am. Be sure not to miss it!

Check this out...isn't it awesome??? Splendid, spectacular wow! I would do anything to go back again...

I hate what I'm wearing. Fugly. But ok, nice view. =)

Samm and Yd!

Ceck this out...Vin Diesel standing up in the middle of the Phi Phi beach to read a book. How cool is that??

Nah, I was just kidding. That's not him. But hey, we all wonder why he must stand up to read his book.. Any reasons anybody?

Dinner at night in Krabi. I look uber tired here, which I really am, because I barely slept a wink. I was coughing the whole night because of the Sprite which I drank after losing many rounds of games to the guys, and the room was freezing..oh mi god.

Frank and JacksOn, my new found friends from the trip!

Ah ha! Cute banana pancake/prata maker/ frying lady. This is a specialty of Thailand.. Yummy, we had it practically everyday we saw it.

Samm says it's yummy..sure is! :D

Why are you guys looking so stunned???

Ahhh, cheap room for 5 ppl, only 400 baht per person per night! It's recommended in Lonely Planet by the way.

Ok, here's the end of our 2nd day of adventure in Krabi...more to come!

1st day in Phuket

In the midst of all my troubles, I found 1 wk to jet to a lovely paradise called Thailand. It's so beautiful and fun I wished I hadn't had to come back... I'm sure Samm shared the same sentiments as me.. Anyways..here's the 1st day in Phuket I wanna blog abt.

Bobby - kind soul who sent mi to the airport as he was on his way to Grannys place to have lunch.

Me chilling out at the airport while waiting for my flight alone. I'm beginning to love travelling alone.

Oooh..the skies were dark and gloomy. See!

But once we went up up and above the clouds, wow, isn't it breathtaking!

After about 1.5h of journey..I finally saw my destination - Phuket!!

Now here's Phuket Beach.

It's heavily commercialised, but still the place is wonderful. A pity my photography skills are not there yet, but I guess a canon powershot (yay, my new camera) is enough to make me way happy when I look back at my old pics. Hehe.

Dinner was kinda horrible.. haha. Worst dinner ever! But well, the best is yet to come.. !

King's birthday - everywhere was closed.

2 random poses of me n Samm

We stayed at this hotel called Silver Hotel Phuket for 400 baht per person per night. It was not bad really.

Wanted to go to Krabi but the boat only leaves the terminal at 8.30am everyday, so we spent a night in Phuket Town. (Yeah, I think tat's what it's called)

The 2nd day we caught a ferry to Phi Phi Island and then to Krabi..it's eden if u ask me... Stay tuned to find out more!!!
